RDIF asks min to allow use Avifavir in home COVID-19 treatment

MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has asked the Healthcare Ministry to allow the use Avifavir for treatment of COVID-19 at home, CEO Kirill Dmitriev told reporters on Wednesday.

"Analysis of the second and third stages of clinical tests, and also the data of the first month of hospital use have given us reasons to say that the Avifavir pharmaceutical… shows the best results when applied at the beginning of the disease and its mid-stage," Dmitriev said.

The pharmaceutical was approved for use in Russia at the end of May.
